چکیده
Abstract Pure iron is very attractive as a biodegradable implant material due to its high biocompatibility. In combination with additive manufacturing, which facilitates great flexibility of the design, it possible selectively adjust microstructure in process, thereby control corrosion and fatigue behavior. present study, conventional hot-rolled (HR) pure compared manufactured by electron beam melting (EBM). The microstructure, behavior properties were studied comprehensively. investigated sample conditions showed significant differences microstructures that led changes properties. EBM significantly lower strength HR iron. These different responses observed under purely mechanical loading well superimposed influence are summarized model describes underlying failure mechanisms.

Hydroxyapatite (HAp) nanoparticles synthesized via microwave irradiation. Polypyrrole (PPy)/HAp nanocomposite was obtained using electropolymerization on nitinol (Ni) titanium (Ti) substrates. Fourier transform infrared was employed to characterize the nanocomposite formation. Electrochemical properties of the nanocomposite were investigated using polarization and electrochemical impedance spec...
متن کاملElectrochemical Corrosion Behavior of Ta2N Nanoceramic Coating in Simulated Body Fluid
In order to improve the corrosion and wear resistance of biomedical Ti-6Al-4V implants, a Ta₂N nanoceramic coating was synthesized on a Ti-6Al-4V substrate by the double glow discharge plasma process. The Ta₂N coating, composed of fine nanocrystals, with an average grain size of 12.8 nm, improved the surface hardness of Ti-6Al-4V and showed good contact damage tolerance and good adhesion streng...

In this study, the effect of coating time on the microstructure and corrosion behavior of AZ31 Mg alloy coated by plasma electrolytic oxidation (PEO) method has been investigated. For this purpose, phosphate-based electrolyte containing hydroxyapatite nanoparticles was used at different times of 5, 10 and 15 minutes. The surface properties and chemical composition of the coatings were investiga...
متن کاملBehavior of a Synthesized Bone Cement in Simulated Body Fluid
In this research, effect of soaking time of a new synthesized hydroxyapatite-based bone cement in simulated body fluid (SBF) on the final phase and strength has been studied. The powder section of the cement has been synthesized by using tricalcium phosphate, calcium carbonate and anhydrous dicalcium phosphate. The liquid phase of the cement consists of different concentrations of NaH2PO4.2H2O....
